SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud is deployed in the public cloud and available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

As of 2023, SAP Digital Manufacturing cloud is on a quarterly release schedule.

The SAP Cloud Availability Center identifies the Maintenance and Upgrade Windows.  Search for SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud at this link.

Upgrade windows with their respective downtimes may be found at the Maintenance Windows and Major Upgrade Windows for SAP Cloud Services Support Page.

Search for “Digital Manufacturing” in the Search field from this page to identify maintenance start times and expected duration for the respective maintenance and major upgrade windows by region.

As of Release 2211, the Planned Release Dates are published.

However, in line with the Service Level Agreement for SAP Cloud Services, SAP will notify customers at least five (5) business days in advance (see point 1.3) for both Quality and Production deployments.

According to the Maintenance Windows and Major Upgrade Windows for SAP Cloud Services, the official maximum downtime is 4 hours, however, SAP strives to complete in less than 2 hours.

Your Dev/QA and Production instances will be done at different times, there is currently a 2 week period for the customer to test before Production is updated.

Every message reported by customers during the quality testing is evaluated based on the impact on the customer and the rest of the user-base. The goal is to resolve the issue before Production is updated. If the issue is evaluated as a showstopper, the decision is made collectively at the Release Decision Meeting.
